Mr Songkai Ren received his PhD from Westlake University in 2023. Then, he joined Hangzhou Dianzi University as a lecturer. His research is primarily dedicated to the development and application of numerical models for multi-scale, multi-physics fluid-structure interactions. These models encompass a range of methodologies, including:

    (1) Material Point Method (MPM) for analyzing large deformation behaviors.

    (2) Discrete Element Method (DEM) for simulating rigid body motions.

    (3) Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) for investigating fluid dynamics.

These distinct models are integrated to tackle intricate processes in the fields of Ocean and Environmental Engineering.
